    How to Connect a Wireless Mouse

    Wireless Mouse uses Radio Frequency (RF) technology to connect with computers, tablets, and laptops. They are more convenient than the wired once because it uses optical technology and enables its user to use it more carefreely.     Connecting a Mouse with a Wireless Receiver

    • Plugin the wireless mouse’s receiver in one of the computer or laptop’s USB port.
      • For desktop computers, the ports will be on the back and front of the CPU. Whereas, in laptops, you will find the USB ports on the sides of the laptop’s base or keyboard.
    • Flip the mouse to switch on the activation button which you will find at the bottom of the mouse.
      • If you plug the receiver first and then switch on your wireless mouse, then it will allow your computer to install the required driver to provide a communication interface for your wireless mouse.
      • The mouse works on batteries that need to be changed every time they run out of power, you will find the battery compartment and some mice come with a rechargeable battery system.

    • Press your mouse’s connect button. The location may vary based on the brand and manufacturer. So from front to top, back, sides, and under check everywhere.

    • Click the slide button under “Bluetooth” to turn it on. If the slide button is blue that means it is on.

    • Now a window will appear to make a selection for the type of device you want to add or connect. Click “Bluetooth” for Bluetooth devices.
    • Now press and hold the pairing button on your mouse to make it discoverable for windows Bluetooth. 
    • Look around your mouse to find its pairing button as its location may vary based on its manufacturer.
    • Usually, such a mouse comes with indicating lights start blinking when the pairing button is pressed and it stops flickering and flashes brightly when the connection solidifies.
    • Now look on the screen for the name of your mouse to appear below the discoverable Bluetooth devices, it will appear with the “Pair” button on the screen. Click it to pair your system with the device.

    Steps for Connecting Bluetooth Keyboard with Windows 7

    • Click the start button icon as in the down-left corner.
    • Click “Devices and Printers” from the right side column.
    • Click “Add a device” from the top-left corner below the back and forward buttons of the window that has appeared.
    • Turn on your mouse.
      • Flip the mouse to switch on the activation button which you will find at the bottom of the mouse.

    • Inside the “Add a device” window your mouse name should appear. Click it to pair. 

    Connecting a Bluetooth Mouse on Mac

    • Turn on your mouse.
      • Flip the mouse to switch on the activation button which you will find at the bottom of the mouse.
      • Use the working battery cells as the mouse works on batteries that need to be changed every time they run out of power, you will find the battery compartment and some mice come with a rechargeable battery system.

    • Click the Apple icon from the menu bar in the top-right corner of your screen and if there is a Bluetooth icon in the top-right side of the menu bar click it instead.
    • Click “System Preferences” from the list of options that have appeared.
    • Click the “Bluetooth” from the system preferences window.
    • Now the Bluetooth window will open. On the left-hand side, there will be a Bluetooth icon under which you will see the status if it’s on or not and below that there will be a button saying “Turn Bluetooth On” if the status of the Bluetooth is off.
    • Click “Turn Bluetooth On” to enable your mac Bluetooth.
    • Now press and hold the pairing button on your mouse to make it discoverable for windows Bluetooth. 
      • Look around your mouse to find its pairing button as its location may vary based on its manufacturer.
      • Usually, such a mouse comes with indicating lights start blinking when the “Pair” button is pressed and it stops flickering and flashes brightly when the connection solidifies.
    • On the right-hand side of the Bluetooth window, there will be a device column where you will see the list of devices. Wait for your mouse name to appear on that device list with the “Pair” or “connect” button.
    • Click the “Pair” button that appeared with the name of your Bluetooth mouse. Now your Bluetooth mouse is ready to work.
